A home that feels lived-in, layered, and loved for generations—that was the goal for this Capitol Hill one-bedroom, designed for a couple in their late 20s (and their rambunctious dog). Working with a smaller budget, we prioritized sourcing key vintage pieces locally and built the design those finds. Boy did we score—from a mid-century bed frame to a beyond comfortable mohair sofa, the space took on an eclectic blend of English cottage and mid-century pieces. Art curation also played a central role in the design direction, as we worked to cohesively mix their existing collection with new artwork in a way that brought personality and color to the space while maintaining a sense of balance and calm.
